San Diego, CA — The Gordon Schanzlin New Vision Institute Institute (GWSVI) for cataract surgery and LASIK in San Diego has announced a video contest for a free LASIK procedure. The “See Your Dream Come True” Video Contest began Tuesday, September 4, 2012, and is open to all San Diego residents. Dr. Michael Gordon, one of the founding members of GWSVI, says the entire team is excited about the contest, and adds that he is personally looking forward to hearing from San Diegans and learning more about the impact improved vision can have in their lives.
The contest happens in three stages. Contestants must first submit a one to two minute video explaining why a LASIK procedure and better vision would improve their lives. The deadline for video submission is September 23, 2012. During the second stage, GWSVI will screen all videos submitted, and then contact a select group of contestants to come into the practice for a complimentary vision screening to determine if they are candidates for the LASIK procedure. All screenings must be completed by September 28, 2012. As an added bonus, if a selected entrant is not eligible for LASIK, they will receive $500 per eye off the refractive procedure for which they are eligible.
Once deemed eligible, the third and final stage of the contest will rely on the participation of each contestant’s friends and families. Videos will be posted to the GWSVI website and the winner of the Free LASIK procedure will be determined by public vote. First runner-up will receive an iPad, second runner-up will receive Maui Jim Sunglasses, and third runner-up will receive a $50 AMEX gift card. The winners will be announced October 11, 2012.
